Emergency Kit
While the Dental clinic/Dentist can create their own kit, it's complex. They must consider practice needs, buy items, and set up an accessible system. Tracking and expiration dates are crucial but easily overlooked. Delegation risks miscommunication and staff turnover may lead to oversight.
Relying on HANSAmed is often the best choice coz the Lighthouse Kit is its all-in-one kit. In any type of emergency, you simply grab the kit, which stands out with its bright red color.
When the clinic purchases the Lighthouse Kits, they receive unlimited access to online training for one year, helping everyone in the clinic learn the proper use of the medication in emergency situations.
HANSAmed offers dental clinics the option to customize their kits with one or two types of Auto-injectors, choosing from English or French versions for treating pediatric, adult, or geriatric patients. You can select either EpiPen Adult/Junior or Allerject Adult/Junior(English or French). Auto-injectors are crucial as they are the first medication used to treat anaphylaxis( life-threatening allergic reaction).
Although our Auto-injector choices may be slightly more expensive than those from a pharmacy, this is due to the shelf life of our stock. We have a deal with PFIZER, the manufacturer, to send us their newest stock directly. Additionally, we track the expiration dates and handle any potential recalls associated with the EpiPens we provide.

Yes, we provide customizable options, allowing you to tailor your kit to meet your unique needs. Our kits are designed for clinics treating pediatric, adult, or geriatric patients, with the option to select either EpiPen Adult/Junior or Allerject Adult/Junior (English or French). Additionally, you can choose the online training in English or French to fit your specific requirements.
Flumazenil vials and Naloxone ampoules are optional medications that you can add to the Lighthouse Kits for an additional fee. Each kit has a designated slot with clear labeling for these medications, ensuring they are easy to store and grab quickly in case of an emergency.

When considering vials from the pharmacy, it's important to note that not all pharmacies carry them on hand, requiring special orders. Although the initial cost may seem cheaper, there are dispensing fees to consider, and pharmacies typically sell in packs, leading to overstock and higher costs. HANSAmed supplies clinics with only 2 vials per medication, ensuring compliance and affordability.
Some pharmacies sell vials individually, making them more comparable to what HANSAmed provides. However, pharmacies may not track expiry dates, unlike HANSAmed's monitoring and replenishing service, making us the ideal source for purchasing individual vials.
Automatic replenishment ensures your meds are always current, saving you from tracking them manually at a reasonable cost. When factoring in the time and effort to track and replenish expired contents independently, the overall cost is lower.
We understand that shipping costs can add up, particularly when replenishing multiple medications each year. However, it's essential to consider the effort involved in replacing your own medications. Sending a staff member to the drugstore may seem like an option, but it requires time and resources. Additionally, if you choose to manage this yourself, we won't be able to track your expiration dates anymore.
We send replenishments every TWO months, bundling them into a single shipment to save costs for our clinics.
The Automatic Replenishment service automatically comes with the purchase of the Lighthouse Emergency Kit. We track and monitor the medications in the kit, replenishing them once they expire. Shipments are sent every two months to save on shipping fees.
The Annual Subscription is an upgraded version of the Auto Replenishment service. It includes the following advantages: Only one invoice per year instead of individual invoicing, Free shipping, Five free drug disposal services, and unlimited access to online training with CE credits.
To ensure you receive your replacement medications and keep your kits updated, we send new medications every two months to save on shipping fees. For example, we send January's replenishment to cover January and February, and March's replenishment to cover March and April, and so on.
No, there is no need to call HANSAmed to place an order for your expired medications. We automatically track and replenish your medications on time to ensure that your kit is always updated and you are ready for any emergency.
